Wired For Success, a 2-day educational seminar for orthodontic residents, added Chicago as it's third seminar location in 2011. Now with three seminars, Wired For Success is now reaching more residents than ever before. Wired For Success seminars, which are sponsored by orthodontic companies, provide experts that teach residents topics including the business side of marketing and running an orthodontic practice, office designs, and equipment options.

For 2012, Wired For Success seminars will be held in Florida, California, and Illinois, with a maximum of 55 residents at each location. Wired For Success is funded by corporate sponsors including American Orthodontics, Boyd Industries, Hu-Friedy Instruments, Impact360, Kodak Dental Systems, TeleVox, and Treloar & Heisel Inc. The corporate sponsorship allows residents to attend for a nominal fee. For a period of time, graduating residents will receive priority.

According to Bruce Livingston, president of Boyd Orthodontics and the founder of the seminars, "Topics such as Practice Transitions and Life Planning, Making Sound Staffing Decisions, and Operating a Practice in a Turbulent Economy are just a few of the presentations that benefit residents nearing graduation. The format at all three venues is very similar, with business experts from a variety of backgrounds sharing insights into managing a private practice."

The East Coast Wired For Success seminar will be February 17-19, 2012, at the Marriott Suites on the Sand in Clearwater Beach, Florida. The West Coast seminar will be March 2-4, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa in Huntington Beach, California. The Midwest Wired For Success seminar will be August 17-19, 2012 at the Downtown Chicago Marriott in Chicago, Illinois.
